Carolyn Finzer is called the “Mad Hatter of Storytellers” because her outrageous, whimsical, and eclectic costumes (frequently fashioned from recycled materials) are perennially festooned with colorful, crowd pleasing “toppers”! Naperville Magazine declared Carolyn the “Costume Queen” in its October 2005 edition…she is a woman with a dazzling dash of panache! The Naperville Art League honored her with its very prestigious 2006 Outstanding Contributions To The Arts Award for her five decades of on-going involvement and commitment to the studio, public, and performing arts. In 2005, Carolyn received the Naperville Jaycee’s Distinguished Service Award in Culture and History…she is well versed in Native American heritage, arts, dance and spirituality.



Carolyn holds a B.S. in Arts Education (K thru 14) from Illinois State University and did post-graduate work at Salzburg College, Austria, in art history and painting. She has 15 years of professional dance training as well.
