We have talked and talked about your visit with us at Woodruff High School. (I'm anxiously awaiting the results in the next several weeks! I'll let you know how they did!) This past week, we began what I call our "fun unit." This is always the last unit of the year, after HSAP and not so demanding. We study legends, myths, tall tales, epics and folklore. Today in fact, we read an Indian/Hindu epic and related it to the Biblical account of Abraham and Isaac. I reminded the students of how you had explained that these legends/stories are all the same, but with a cultural/ethnic twist. They told me again how much they enjoyed your being there. Thanks so much for coming and spending your entire day with us. I wanted you to know that I turned in a glowing report to the committee that evaluated this year's Stone Soup festival.
