|Bio:||Gwendolyn Hilary, former librarian, educator and a recipient of ISI, Inc.’s 2008 Possibility Grant, is a storyteller who shares stories that spark the imagination and touch the soul. She performs with the dynamic musician and folklorist, Enoch Williamson. Together they create a fusion of music and story, performing interactive stories full of songs and rhythms, bringing listeners "into" the stories. Gwendolyn’s rich repertoire of stories, enable her to create programs on many themes. She especially enjoys sharing multicultural folktales and the history, contributions, and stories of African Americans. Gwen is a member of ASE: the Chicago Association of Storytellers, an inspiring and fulfilling part of her storytelling world. She has been telling professionally for over 15 years. |
Enoch Williamson is a world renowned musician who has performed in over 30 countries. Audiences are captivated by his playing of the drums, shekere, kalimba and other instruments as Gwen unfolds stories.
