Bio:Well known as "The Frog Guy," Ben's stories come from his childhood growing up in the hills of Southern Ohio, as well as stories of his own creation. A respected educator with 34 years in our public schools as teacher and principal, Ben's stories celebrate life as well as educate. He helped write the Illinois Language Arts Standards and serves as a teacher recertification provider. "Storytelling enhances imagination, creativity, literacy and comprehension like nothing else can. Imagine it, write it, tell it, and you'll learn it!" Featured at festivals, on TV and radio, Ben tells original stories, ghost stories, family and folk tales, multicultural stories, country yarns and more. Ben was the creator and artistic director of the highly popular Woodstock "Scare on the Square" and long hosted the Liar's Contest at the Illinois Storytelling Festival in Spring Grove. Ben is also an award winning potter and drum maker.
