| Bio: | Everyday Jane tries to find just the right story to match the action and activities in her classroom. Besides telling in her classroom, she acts as the Storyteller-in-Residence at the school, presenting programs on Immigration and for the Sunrise Celebration and to support curricular activities. Jane also tells in the community, at festivals and conferences, and at community-based and private celebrations. Jane co-authored two books, "Literacy Development in the Storytelling Classroom" (2009) and "The Storytelling Classroom: Applications Across the Curriculum" (2006). Both are from Libraries Unlimited. These won the research award from Storytelling World Magazine and focus on Jane’s interest in storytelling in education. Children need to hear stories! |
