Illinois Storyteller Profile
|Bio:||Both an Illinois Arts Council Artist and a CAPS Artist of Fairfax, County, Virginia, Sandi refers to herself as a "Storyteller-Ventriloquist-Songstress," bringing theme-specific and eclectic presentations to children, families, and adults across the country. When, as a budding storyteller (at the age of 55), Sandi taught herself ventriloquism from a library book, she didn't even have a chance to click her heels before her career ignited! Now a nationally touring performance artist, Sandi Sylver presents her unique style of "interactive, totally whacked-out, "pro-reading-character counts" stories, songs and ventriloquist puppet concerts. |
Sandi's audiences range from preschool children through grade 6 students and families. Adult concerts are called "Stories and Songs of Life, Love, and Laughter", and, as always, her family of people and animal ventriloquist puppets are "the stars." Sandi Sylver is a true original: any performance you have the opportunity to attend is an experience not to be missed!
