I’m a mom, a teacher, a scholar, a researcher, a technology pro, a businesswoman, a certified project manager…and my life is still a work in progress. I’m a searcher and a seeker, constantly exploring and growing and changing and celebrating life. And I’m a storyteller, with a cornucopia full of tales to tell you.

I tell traditional tales drawn from the traditions and cultures of the world’s peoples. I share personal stories based on the routines and adventures and lessons of my own life. And I spin real facts and events into true histories and other occasions for learning that will charm and entertain you as much as they inform and instruct. I tell with a humorous touch and my own unmistakable perspective, and all my stories delight you, teach you, reach you, and move you. Whether they come from long ago and from far away, or from today’s news, or from the people you may even know, you’ll see that in some way every tale that I tell becomes one of my Tales of Modern Life.

Whatever your interest or concern, it’s possible that I’ve been there, done that…and can tell the tale. And if not, then I just might be looking for the opportunity to go there and do that, and find the tale that’s calling to you.

I belong to the National Storytelling Network, Illinois Storytelling Inc., the Northlands Storytelling Network, and the Fox Valley and North Shore Storytelling Guilds. I appear at festivals, other public programs, and private events, where I offer entertainment, insight, and growth to individuals, groups, and organizations.
