Marilyn Rea Beyer is trying to figure out what to do next. She’s been telling stories of various kinds in public since the fourth grade.
Her career path includes having been a championship high school speech coach, a corporate sales type, a PR director, a historic sites tour guide, even a Boston folk radio host. She is currently a wife, a mom, a grandma, an adjunct professor, a poet and storyteller living in the South Loop with her husband, author Rick Beyer. She rides her bike and cooks, but not at the same time.
Marilyn was born on Chicago’s East Side and grew up in Lansing, Illinois. That’s mostly where her stories begin.
