Marilyn, aka “Taleypo the Storyteller,” is from Fairview Heights close to St. Louis, MO. Whether telling one of her over 250 stories – personal stories, folktales, literary, or historical – Marilyn weaves yarns that are sure to entertain, frighten, or surprise you, but in the end will surely make you smile. Her style is animated and filled with verbal imagery.
Comfortable with any age group, Marilyn travels to festivals, special events, libraries, museums, schools and workshops. As a published author and writer she also give workshops on writing and storytelling.
She and her avocational archeologist and stone tool replicator husband, Larry, also present programs called “Stories ‘n Stones.” This program includes stories that incidentally talk about stone tools. Then Larry gives a demonstration and talk about those stone tools. They have presented “Stories ‘n Stones” to Cahokia and Dickson Mounds, Missouri and Illinois State History Museums, schools, scouts, seniors, and many state parks.
